Lindevangskolen is a public primary school located in Frederiksberg, Denmark, offering education to students ranging from kindergarten to 9th grade. The school has a rich history dating back to the 1920s. However, in the late 1990s, it acquired a negative reputation for its social heritage due to the fact that most of its approximately 340 students were from the “”karréerne,”” an area with the municipality of Frederiksberg’s cheapest apartments. However, the school’s reputation has changed due to changes in the school district, a broader recruiting area, and a growing student body, making it a popular choice for parents in Frederiksberg. As of May 2020, the school had approximately 1100 students, 500 children enrolled in the SFO (after-school arrangement), and Cassiopeia, a shared club between Lindevangskolen and La Courvej skole, which has more than 500 children and youth signed up. To accommodate the growing student body, the school has added two new extensions: “”glass house”” towards the west, housing grades 7th-9th, and the country’s best PLC (pedagogical learning center).

Crossing Borders (CB) is a non-profit, non-partisan civil society organisation. The vision of CB is a world in peace with itself in which diversity is celebrated. The mission is to create a dialogue space toward such a world and to build the capacity of youth, media workers and educators to realise the above vision. The overall goal is to enable people with different backgrounds to learn to live together on equal terms. Crossing Borders started as a project in 1999 in Denmark in support of meaningful dialogue between the conflict parties in the Middle East. In response to increased activities and demands for the CB concept and services, it was transformed, in 2004, into a dynamic organisation with activities in Denmark and abroad. CB’s themes focus on current global issues including climate change, migration, youth participation, and the SDGs as a contribution toward green innovation and eco-entrepreneurship for sustainable development.
